Windowed 4D inversion for near real-time geoelectrical monitoring applications

چکیده

Many different approaches have been developed to regularise the time-lapse geoelectrical inverse problem. While their advantages and limitations demonstrated using synthetic models, there few direct comparisons of performance field data. We test four inversion methods (independent inversion, temporal smoothness-constrained 4D spatial smoothness constrained data differences, sequential with constraints on model its changes). focus applicability these automated processing monitoring in near real-time. In particular, we examine windowed use short sequences data, without which method would not be suitable real-time context. develop measures internal consistency for so that effects time windows or choice baseline set can compared. The resulting models are assessed against qualitative quantitative ground truth information. Our findings full performed best, retained majority benefits while also being applicable applications requiring inversion.

Accurate Real-time Windowed Time Warping

Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) is used to find alignments between two related streams of information and can be used to link data, recognise patterns or find similarities. Typically, DTW requires the complete series of both input streams in advance and has quadratic time and space requirements. As such DTW is unsuitable for real-time applications and is inefficient for aligning long sequences. We p...

Image Time Series for near Real Time Airborne Monitoring of Disaster Situations and Traffic Applications

Near real time monitoring of natural disasters, mass events, and large traffic disasters with airborne optical sensors is a focus of research and development at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). For this purpose, a new airborne camera system was developed named 3K camera system (3K = “3Kopf-Kamera”). Image data are processed onboard on five onboard processing units using data from a real time ...

Simulation of a Neutron Detector for Real Time Imaging Applications

Monte Carlo Method is used to simulate a double layer gadolinium-amorphous silicon thermal neutron detector. The detector fabricated in pixel array configuration has various applications including neutron imaging. According to the simulation results, a detector consisting of a gadolinium (Gd) film with thickness of 2-4 ~m, sandwiched properly with two layers of sufficiently thick (-30 ?µm) hydr...

The “BIM’s 4D+” Dimension: Real Time Energy Monitoring

With the current trend towards Building Information Model (BIM), facility managers have a new tool for raising efficiency. This paper discusses the integration of the BIM software with a real-time monitoring (RTM) system, as a 4D+ dimension in BIM, to track the electrical usage at every location in a building. This ability could be invaluable in identifying what unnecessary loads are connected ...

Near Real Time Airborne Monitoring System for Disaster and Traffic Applications

A near real time airborne monitoring system for monitoring of natural disasters, mass events, and large traffic disasters was developed in the last years at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). This system consists of an optical wide-angle camera system (3K system), a SAR sensor, an optical and microwave data downlink, an onboard processing unit and ground processing station with online data tran...
